Video, the future of Marketing
I was sent this article today by a fellow film maker. When I saw the headline “Why Short-Form Video is the Future of Marketing.” I thought, this is what I have been trying to express to my friends and fellow business owners. The article proved to me that I am not the only person that believes that the consumption of video content online is rapidly increasing. As the article states, “The market is moving more toward catering to the Facebook generation’s attention span — quick videos that are aimed to inspire, provoke, or excite. Likewise, the viewing experience on tablet devices such as the iPad make short-form content even more enjoyable.” I can agree with that first hand. I enjoy personally pulling up video content on my tablet or phone and watching it at my leisure or sharing it with a friend. It makes the experience fun and hassle free.
I see many businesses using video to also engage viewers in social media as well. Sites like Facebook and Pinterest are making it easier to pin and feed promotional videos through their site. Social Cam and Viddy are also becoming very popular because of the social sharing features built into these sites. The cost of producing these videos are also rapily decreasing and the quality of video is getting better.
The article is a great read and it gives you ideas of how you can incorporate video in to your modern marketing plan.
