Social funding / Group funding

Here are a couple of cool sites that I found that can help budding movie directors / producers.  If you are not able to get funding from a big production studio or television station you may want to try these alternative funding options.

Kickstarter
Kickstarter is a website that you can post any project including movie ideas and ask for  donations to your project.  If someone comes by and believes in you project they could donate to your project.  What I have seen in the past is that you can give incentives for donations of larger amounts.  ie. Pre-release DVDs, invitation to exclusive parties etc.

Indiegogo
Indiegogo is another group funding site that I found, it seem to be very similar to Kickstarter but seems to be focused on individuals in the movie industry.

If you are looking to get funding for that next big project you might want to trying one of the options that I mentioned above.
